I am so late to this "party", but I can't help but post this. Ever since Die Antwoord (The Answer) "blew up" all over the internet in early February, people have been all over them, going so far as to unintentionally bring down their site by overworking their servers. Say what you will about them (and yes, they've been criticized for their personnas, their lyrics and whatever else...) they're just different enough to register on our collective radars...and that's fine with me.
Part of me wonders whether I should find this band offensive...and I think it's that wonder that has me coming back for more. In truth however, I find it difficult to be offended (in spite of the lyrics) and the blend of English and Afrikaans is unlike anything I've heard before. (Forgive the ignorance.)
Does anybody else think they're a (much) raunchier version of Aqua? I'm just sayin'...
